GDi ATLAS Land

GDi ATLAS Land is a digital database that represents morphological characteristics of the land. Using satellite imagery GDi GISDATA produces land use/land cover databases in GIS formats to fit customer needs in areas like urban planning, environmental protection or telecommunications network planning and it provides data to be used either by themselves or in combination with the other data sets.   GDi ATLAS Land is available for following countries: Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Southeastern Europe.

Croatia

  • GDi ATLAS mrLAND

LULC map covers the whole area of the country together with a 30 km buffer zone outside the country. LULC is produced by interpretation of LANDSAT satellite image combined with topographic maps and field work. Morphological characteristics are divided into 13 classes: village, residential, mean urban, dense urban, high urban, industrial/commercial, square-open in urban, open area, semi open area, forest, park-semi open in urban and water.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

LULC map covers the whole area of Bosnia and Herzegovina. LULC is produced by interpretation of LANDSAT ETM satellite image resolution 30 meters from year 2000 and IRS satellite imagery with resolution of 6 meters combined with topographic maps. Morphological characteristics are divided into 13 classes: village, residential, mean urban, dense urban, high urban, industrial/commercial, square-park, open area, semi open area, cultivated area/small forest, forest, wet area and  water.

Serbia

  Kosovo

Macedonia

LULC map covers the whole area of Republic of Macedonia. LULC was produced by interpretation of LANDSAT satellite image resolution 30 meters from year 2002.  The secondary data source were topographic maps of Macedonia. Data were additionally checked and collected by extensive field work. Morphological characteristics are divided into 12 classes: village, residential, mean urban, dense urban, high urban, industrial/commercial, open area, forest, wet area, water, building and roads.

Montenegro
  • GDi ATLAS mrLAND

LULC map covers the whole area of Republic of Montenegro. Clutter resolution is 50×50 meters and it covers the whole area of Montenegro. Clutter is produced by interpretation of LANDSAT TM satellite imagery from the year 1997. Morphological characteristics are divided into 11 classes: coniferous wood, deciduous wood, low vegetation/brushwood, meadows/ pastures, agricultural land, dense urban area, urban area, industry area, water (rivers, lakes),marsh, karst/snow/sand/open.

Southeastern Europe
  • GDi ATLAS mrLAND

Clutter resolution is 50×50 meters and it covers the whole area of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia including Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia.

Clutter is produced by interpretation of LANDSAT satellite imagery with resolution of 25 and 30 m and IRS satellite imagery with resolution of 6 m.

Clutter categories are as follows: village, residential, mean urban, dense urban, high urban, industrial/commercial, open in urban/square/park, open area/cultivated area, semi open area/small forest, forest, water area.
